DEDICATION OF NEW STUDENT SERVICES CENTER:
All are invited to attend the dedication of the new Follon Student
Services Center, located upstairs in Gilchrist Hall, on Dec. 3.
An open house will take place from 3 to 5 p.m., with the dedication
program at 3:30 p.m. Sue Follon, was vice president for Educational
& Student Services from 1985 to 1998, and was UNI's first female
vice president.

STATE ELECTION RESULTS AND UNI LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES:
The 2005 session of the 81st Iowa General Assembly will convene

WIRELESS NETWORKING EXPANDING:
The wireless computer network for use by all students, faculty and
staff computers is expanding on campus. Recent expansion includes
the Rod Library, Maucker Union, Towers Dining and Redeker Dining.

OUTSTANDING GRADUATE FACULTY TEACHING AWARD:
This award recognizes full time-members of the regular graduate
faculty for outstanding teaching. It includes a $500 prize. Deadline

FREE BALLROOM DANCE AND LESSON:
The UNI Folk and Ballroom Dancers are sponsoring a free ballroom
dance and lesson Sunday, Nov. 21 in Maucker Old Central Ballroom. The
lesson, from 7 to 8 p.m., will be on the St. Louis Shag, with a dance
following until 9:30 p.m. The event is open to the public.

8-ON-8 MEN'S AND WOMEN'S OPEN DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT:
Saturday, Dec. 4, WRC south courts, starting at 1:30 p.m. Tournament
is open to students, faculty and staff. Entry forms available at the

Team entries are due by Dec. 1 at the WRC Room 101 by 5:30 p.m.

Dr. Walter Lewis, internationally known ethnobotanist whose work
inspired the 1992 movie "Medicine Man," will describe his adventures
