NEWS 

SATURDAY CELEBRATION:
All faculty, staff and their families are invited to the Ninth Annual
UNI Saturday Celebration Saturday, Sept. 11, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
on the south lawn of the president's home. Food, drinks and table service
are provided. Bring lawn chairs or a blanket. Free open recreation will
be available for UNI families in the WRC until 4 p.m. Check-in at main
desk; clean shoes required and children must be accompanied by an adult.

USER QUARANTINE MANAGEMENT SUGGESTION:
The "User Quarantine Release Notification" e-mail message
shows what e-mail has been placed into the quarantined area due to the
SPAM count rating assigned. This message will allow
you to manage the actions you want taken on your individually quarantined
messages.

HUDSON ROAD PEDESTRIAN OVERPASS CLOSED:
The Hudson Road pedestrian overpass is closed until further notice.
The walking surface of the overpass is potentially hazardous. Facilites
Planning is working with the project engineer and contractor to correct
the situation.

BUSINESS PLAN DEVELOPMENT:

SPECIAL EVENTS
UNI-AEOP:
The first meeting will take place at noon, Tuesday, Sept. 14, in
the Presidential Room, Maucker Union. Plans for the upcoming year
will be shared, including the spring workshop, Installation, and
fundraiser(s). Open to all university employees. Visit

ESSENTIALS GRAND OPENING:
Essentials, the new retail store in the Union, will host grand
opening events from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept.
14 and 15. Featured will be drawings for prizes, special coupons,
free ice cream from Wells Blue Bunny (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.), and samples
of "Pitch Black" Mountain Dew (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.). Prizes include gift
baskets prepared by Essentials, tickets to UNI football and men's
basketball games, tickets to a performance at the GBPAC, and gifts from
the WRC. Bags of popcorn will sell for 50 cents from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Kayak the Saint Croix River in Minnesota, Sept. 17-19. Pre-trip meeting

YARD SALE:
UNI Child Development Center Parent Yard Sale will take place Saturday,
Sept. 11, from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m., at 1901 Campus (front lawn of Price Lab
School). Proceeds to go to the UNICDC Playground Fund. Sale items include
a gas grill, clothing, and toys.

9/11 REMEMBRANCE:
Sept. 11 will be a Day of Mourning and Night of Remembrance at St.
Stephen the Witness Catholic Student Center. Prayers for world peace
will be offered from 8 to 9 p.m. All are welcome.

UNI offers specialized health insurance programs for students. The
