New students to the university are invited to officially begin their academic journey by attending convocation, setting the tone for a year of dedication and motivation. UNI President Robert Koob will deliver the keynote address, "Great Expectations." Brendon Moe, NISG president, will offer a special welcome to the student body.

NEW STUDENT SERVICES CENTER GRAND OPENING: The grand opening of the new Student Services Center in Gilchrist Hall, will take place the week of Aug. 16. The center provides centralized services for students including advising, career services, financial aid, registration and records, and student accounts. Faculty, staff and students may participate in informational sessions in 207 Gilchrist on Aug. 16, 10-11 a.m.; Aug. 17, 3-4 p.m. and Aug. 18, 10-11 a.m.
