HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICE CHANGE: Human
Resource Services office renovation is complete and all HR staff are
now located on the north side of the hall. There has been a room number
change to 106 Gilchrist. All phone numbers remain the same.

NEW PROCUREMENT CARDS:
The university has switched to a new program with the same company
that issues the current university pro-cards. All current card-holders
must turn in cards and receive a new card under the new program. Everyone
will be issued a new account number. Cards may be exchanged on Thursday,
July 28, 9 to 11 a.m.; Tuesday, Aug. 3, 9 to 11 a.m.; and Thursday,
Aug. 5, 1 to 3 p.m. If these times are inconvenient, call Pam Rousselow
at 3-3116 to arrange a time to exchange your card.

EMERGENCY SIREN: The
Blackhawk County Emergency Management Agency will conduct a test of
the outdoor early warning siren system on Wednesday, Aug. 4, at 11
a.m. One sound is used: a steady wail lasting three minutes. If severe
weather conditions are present, the test will be canceled to avoid
confusion in the event there may be a need for an actual warning.

CONSTRUCTION NOTICE - HUDSON ROAD PEDESTRIAN
OVERPASS: The Hudson Road pedestrian overpass
bridge will be closed for repairs beginning Monday, Aug. 2. This work
is included in the Institutional Roads 2004 project. Weather permitting,
the work will be completed by Friday, Aug. 13.

Guests on campus this week include participants in the Department
of Defense educational program for math teachers, CSA Cheer Camp,
Volleyball Team Camp and NCA Cheer & Dance Camp. Housing and dining

THIRD ANNUAL CNS SUMMER UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH
POSTER SESSION: Students in the College
of Natural Sciences will report on their summer research projects
from noon to 1:30 p.m., Friday, July 30, in the Great Reading Room,
Seerley 116. At 11 a.m., Maria O. Longas of Purdue University will
discuss the effects of aging in Seerley 115. Open to the public and
free of charge.

WAREHOUSE AUCTION: An
auction will take place Thursday, Aug. 5, at 10 a.m. at the warehouse
at 2412 West 27th St. (west of the UNI-Dome). Items for sale include
new or near-new parts for an Atlas Copco air compressor, including
a 75hp electric motor. Also some miscellaneous used electronic equipment
and a large quantity of computers and computer equipment. All items
are sold "as is" and must be removed that day. Payment must be made
in cash (good check) onsite before removal. A photo ID is required
