plan to highlight the issue of higher-education affordability. The
Tuition Opportunity Program for Iowans (TOP), is the first of several
initiatives that Financial Aid and Admissions will roll out in the

CAMPUS SUPPLY INVENTORY SHUTDOWN:
Campus Supply, located in the Physical Plant building and Campus Supply
Warehouse will close for inventory Monday-Wednesday, June 28-30. The
last day to accept requisitions is June 24. Campus Supply will reopen
Thursday, July 1.

CONSTRUCTION NOTICE - 27TH STREET RECONSTRUCTION:
Beginning Monday, June 21, 27th St., from Hudson Road east to near
Minnesota St., will be reconstructed. Access to Minnesota St. and
the West Gym "A" parking lot will be available via Ohio St. This phase
is anticipated to be completed by July 19, weather permitting. Signage
will be placed on Hudson Rd. directing orientation visitors to use
the Hudson Rd/31st St. intersection.

MOVED AND MERGED: Academic
Advisors Jean Neibauer, Michael Broshears, David Marchesani, Michele
Peck, and the UNI Career Center/Cooperative Education have moved to
242 Gilchrist. The new, combined office is now known as Advising and
Career Services. As of July 1, Bob Frederick will serve as the Career
Services Director and Jean Neibauer as the Advising Services Director.

'ESSENTIALS' NOW OPEN: Maucker
Union's new addition, "Essentials," is now open. Essentials carries
various food items and beverages, school supplies, gifts and UNI apparel.
Summer hours are 8 a.m. - 6 p.m., Monday-Thursday; and 8 a.m. - 4

Guests using campus housing facilities during their stay at UNI June
17-23 include: Advanced Technical Environmental Education Center programs,

Combo Camp, Jr. High Band Camp and Jr. High Volleyball Camps. Guests
are dining in Prexy's at Maucker Union. The Department of Residence

the new fillable PDF format form and e-mail it to new vendors. Or,
direct them to the form on the Web at
https://access.uni.edu/forms/memfis/supplier.pdf The vendor then
prints, signs and returns it by fax or mail. Supplier Setup forms
should be sent to Business Operations with your Request for Payment
paperwork to ensure proper setup.

SUMMER-TERM HOURS FOR 23RD STREET MARKET:
The summer-term hours for the 23rd Street Market at Commons are 7:30
a.m. - 4 p.m. weekdays. Sandwiches, salads, pizza, hot dogs, nachos
and soup are available from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Snacks, microwave
foods, beverages, bakery and convenience items are sold throughout
the day. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Group orders are
accepted. Call 3-7345.

RETIREMENT RECEPTION: Ken
Jacobsen is retiring after nearly 25 years as a mental health counselor,
career counselor, and wellness consultant at the Counseling Center.
A reception in honor of his retirement will take place Tuesday, June
29, 1-3 p.m. in 101 SSC (the first floor lobby). Stop by to congratulate
Ken on his fine career at UNI.

SANDRA HELLER OPEN HOUSE: The
College of Social and Behavioral Sciences will host an open house
for Sandra Heller, Secretary III, in the Department of Geography,
from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 30 in Sabin 121. Help thank
Sandra for her 33-plus years of service. Refreshments will be provided.

CIEP CONVERSATION PARTNERS: The
Culture & Intensive English Program (CIEP) teaches English to international
students at UNI. CIEP matches each international student with an American
conversation partner. The partners meet for one hour each week, to
help international students improve their English and expand their
understanding of American culture. American students benefit by meeting
new students while developing greater cultural awareness and understanding.
