FALL 2003 MASSAGE SCHEDULE:
The Wellness Resource Lab, WRC 104, offers massages by a licensed
massage therapist! Come for relief Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout
the fall from 11 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. The cost is $10 for 15 minutes and
sessions up to one hour may be purchased. Pay by cash, check, ubill,
or payroll deduct. Call 273-6119 to schedule an appointment.

RESERVE StudioIT FOR YOUR CLASS:
Located in Lang 245, the Studio for Innovative Teaching (StudioIT)
is an interactive classroom equipped with a touch screen SMART Board,
20 Gateway wireless laptops, and a videoconferencing unit. ITS Educational
Technology offers the use of StudioIT at no charge to UNI faculty

PADDLING PANTHER SWIM LESSONS: Paddling
Panther Learn-to-Swim Program is accepting registrations for children
of students, faculty and staff. All instructors are American Red Cross
Certified and teach preschool through level VII. Classes will be held

TIMELY DEPOSITS OF CASH RECEIPTS:
In order to comply with university policy, departments and related
organizations are required to make daily deposits if funds on hand
equal or exceed $250. Departments and organizations must deposit funds
on hand at least weekly. Forms needed to make these required deposits
can be found on MyUNIverse, MEMFIS forms. If you have questions, contact
Diane Headington, Cashier's Office, 3-2628.

RESNET IS DOWN: Because
of the Blaster and Welchia viruses, UNI's ResNet is down. Residence
hall students do not have access to the Internet or e-mail from their
personal computers or from hall e-mail terminals. ResNet computer
consultants are working through each hall to make sure all students'
computers have appropriate patches and fixes applied. Residents can
check with their hall office for updates. The ResNet Web site also
will have updates at www.resnet.uni.edu. UNI contacts: Nancy Lindgard

CIEP CONVERSATION PARTNERS PROGRAM:

more about American culture by volunteering as conversation partners
in the Culture & Intensive English Program (CIEP). Partners meet for

NATIVE ROADSIDE VEGETATION CENTER (NRVC) DEDICATION:
The NRVC, located on West 27th Street about
one-half mile west of Hudson Road, will be dedicated at 10:30 a.m.
Friday, Aug. 29. Refreshments and building and plot production tours
will follow remarks by dignitaries, including Sen. Charles Grassley
and a representative of Sen. Tom Harkin. The center's programs-- the
Roadside Program, Prairie Institute and Iowa Ecotype Project-- are
interwoven to restore Iowa prairie and bring native grasses and flowers
back to Iowa's roadsides.

TAG SALE: On Wednesday,
Sept. 3, 9:30 a.m. - 3 p.m, UNI will hold a tag sale at the Price
Lab School. Desks and chairs will be for sale, as well as cabinets,
bookshelves, power tools and computer equipment. All items are specifically
priced. All items are sold "as is" and must be removed by 3:30 p.m.
Wednesday. All items must be paid for in cash (good check) before
removal. Parking will be available in the "A" lot north of the fieldhouse

SMOKEY ROBINSON TO PERFORM AT GBPAC:
Saturday, Sept. 6, 8 p.m. Smokey Robinson is synonymous with Motown
and its' rise to prominence in the recording industry. He served as
writer and producer of many of Motown's most popular hits including
such classics as "The Way You Do the Thing You Do," "Ooo Baby Baby,"
"The Tracks of My Tears," and "I Second That Emotion."
