on Aug. 18; effective dates Sept. 1, 2003-Aug. 31, 2004 at an individual

was made public on Monday, August 4. It supersedes the Resources section
of the library's Web site and is accessible from several links on

FY 04 UNI/Office Depot catalogs are in the mail. Included with these
special discounted catalogs is a six page core supply list with greater

WORKSHOPS FOR FACULTY: ITS-Educational
Technology is offering free WebCT workshops for faculty Aug. 18-20
from 8:30 a.m. until noon. These classes are for faculty who need
a refresher on how to use WebCT, who want to see the new features
of 3.8, or for those who have never used WebCT before. WebCT is an
environment that allows faculty to create online courseware as a supplement
to an existing face-to-face course, or helps you create a course that

AND IMPROVED MAUCKER UNION: On
Aug. 22, Maucker Union will re-open for business. Chats, the new coffee
bar, opens at 7 a.m. The Coffee House, Hemisphere Lounge, new and
renovated meeting rooms, and the administrative offices for Maucker
Union will also be open. Temporary food service will be in Old Central
Ballroom C (formerly the Expansion) beginning on Aug. 25. For more

ART
FESTIVAL DONATION: UNI
and the UNI Alumni Association participated in the 2003 Des Moines
Arts Festival June 27-29. Some 100 alumni volunteered their time and
sold ice cream during the three-day event. The Festival made a donation
in the amount of $1400 to the Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.

MINORITY FACULTY TEACHING PROGRAM: Each
summer the Provost Office sponsors a program with arrangements coordinated
through the Graduate College that invites minority faculty from outside

LOT LOTTERY: The
Parking Division of the Department of Public Safety will be accepting
names for the 2003-04 "G" lot lottery through 5 p.m. August 8. Requests
must be submitted via email or written form. Names for the "G" lot
will be drawn sometime during the week of August 11. Letters will
be sent via campus mail advising people of their position in the lottery.

UNI INTERNATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FAIR will
take place on Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Maucker
University Union Expansions A & B. This annual event is an opportunity
for UNI students, faculty and staff to learn about overseas study,
internships, volunteer, and work options. UNI program providers and
