The Philosopher's Index is a bibliographic database that provides
access to journal articles, books, anthologies, and book reviews in
the field of philosophy. The period of coverage is 1940 to the present.
Over 480 journals, published in 38 countries, are covered. To access

Effective June 9 mediated photocopy service will be discontinued at
the 1st floor photocopy desk in the Rod Library. The six self-serve
public photocopiers will remain available.

from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.. and

EMAIL FROM OFF CAMPUS: Encrypted
access from mail packages such as Netscape Messenger, Microsoft Outlook,
Eudora, ets. from off-campus will be required effective Tuesday, May
13. Starting on that date if your access to the UNI mail server is
either denied or you simply cannot seem to connect this may be your
problem. Methods to correctly configure your software are listed at

Those accessing UNI email via the Web (Mailman or Mailspinner) at
http://www.uni.edu/email are unaffected by this change. Contact

COURSE PACKETS: Print Services
will no longer be producing or selling course packets at Copy Central
in the Rod Library. As an alternative, University Book and Supply

HAZARDOUS WASTE PICK-UP DATE:
The end of the semester hazardous waste disposal will be May 19. All
hazardous waste must be labeled and boxed appropriately prior to transporting.
If you are a new generator and need assistance with labeling, call
3-5855.

TAG SALE: On Monday & Tuesday,
May 19 & 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., a tag sale will be held at
the UNI warehouse at 2412 West 27th St. west of the Dome. A large
variety of chairs and seating units will be available, as well as
desks, files, podiums, and cafeteria tables. All items are specifically
priced for sale. All items are sold "as is" and must be
removed by 3 p.m. on Tuesday. All items must be paid for in cash (good
check) on site before removal. Please call Vince at 3-3527 with questions.

NORTHERN IOWAN MOVE: The Northern
Iowan newspaper will be moving to 203 East Gym for the summer session.
They will return to 112 Maucker Union the first part of August. The

UNI WRESTLING: The Panther
squad was honored as one of the best academic wrestling teams in the
nation; the only Iowa team to recieice the honor this year. Sophomore
Jordan Holm was named honorable mention all-academic with a 3.73 GPA
in pre-med.

UNI BASEBALL: UNI wone three
of four games in Evansville over the weekend. Adam Boeve went three-for-four
with a home run and three RBI. He finished the weekend hitting .647.

take place at Riverfront Stadium.

and furniture will take place in the Tower Dining Center. There will
