WHAT'S NEW IN WebCT 3.8:
To the average user, WebCT Version 3.8 will not appear to be any different
than version 3.6. Although your course may look and act the same,
in WebCT Version 3.8 there are a number of updates to existing teaching

SUMMER FITNESS/LEISURE & CERTIFICATION
CLASSES: It's time to register for Summer Fitness/Leisure
and Certification Classes in WRC 101 (7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., M-F). Several
new classes including Walk-n-Tone and Belly Dancing will be offered

EMPLOYEE ONLY AEROBICS:
Due to requests, this class is for UNI employees only and combines
step and floor aerobics. Adaptable to all exercise levels. Variable

FINALS WEEK MASSAGE:
Call the Wellness Resource Lab at 3-6119 to schedule a massage for
finals week. Massages will be given on Tuesday, May 6, 11 a.m. - 4
p.m. and Wednesday, May 7, 1 - 4 p.m. The cost is $10 for 15 minutes
and sessions up to one hour may be purchased. Pay by cash, check,
ubill, or payroll deduct. Gift certificates available as well.

CENTER FOR ENHANCEMENT OF TEACHING:
The Advisory Board for the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching
seeks faculty discussion and input about the role a CET can play at

REINSTATEMENT OF FACULTY SPRING
RESERVE LIST: The deadline for reinstating Spring
2003 course reserves for the May/Summer 2003 semester is May 9. New
reserve lists for Fall semester should be submitted no later than

UNI WOMEN'S RUGBY:
The UNI Women's Rugby team qualified for nationals by beating College
of Charleston 10-7 and St. Joseph's College 27-14. They play for the
D2 National Title against the University of Dayton, on May 3 in San

The School of Music announces the first annual Junior Band Camp scheduled
for June 23-27. Day camp and resident packages available. Nationally

UNI STRATEGIC PLAN REVIEW UPDATE:
The Strategic Planning Review Committee has been discussing the beneficial
feedback it has received to date, and is making further potential
modifications to the UNI Strategic Plan. Check out the new potential

Please send comments on the potential changes to the current plan,
and the additional revisions that have been added, by May 5, using
the e-mail feedback link on the Web site. The committee encourages
your input.

CARNEGIE HALL DRESS REHEARSAL
CONCERTS: The NUHS Concert Choir will present a series
of dress rehearsal concerts every Tuesday and Friday for their solo
Carnegie Concert, "Iowa Culture." The concerts will be from 9:45-10:20

OPERA SCENES PERFORMANCE:
The School of Music will present Opera A La Carte: A Sampling of Operatic
"Treats" on Tuesday, April 29 at the Strayer-Wood Theatre at 7:30
p.m. Featured scenes will be from Die Fledermaus, Hansel and Gretel,
The Ballad of Baby Doe, Cos' fan tutte, La Rondine, and La Traviata.

"WALT WHITMAN LIVE:"
William Koch, English Language and Literature, will present "Walt
Whitman Live" in the Auditorium of Lang Hall April 30, at 7 p.m. The
50-minute, one-man show presents Whitman speaking on some of the major
themes of his poetry, his observations on American culture, his Civil
War experiences and his views on Abraham Lincoln, while incorporating
slide pictures and music.

CHANGES TO SCHOOL OF MUSIC CALENDAR:
The Wednesday, April 30, Won Cho faculty recital scheduled for 8 p.m.
in GBPAC Davis Hall has been canceled. A guest recital has been added
to the calendar on Tuesday, May 6 at 8 p.m. in GBPAC Davis Hall the
Tsou Cultural Troup of Taiwan will preform under the direction of
Susan Tsai. No admission, but tickets are required and available by
calling 3-SHOW.

CINCO DE MAYO FIESTA:
The annual Cinco de Mayo Fiesta celebration will take place near the
reflecting pool outside Maucker Union on Friday, May 2, 11 a.m.-1:30
p.m. Activities will include cascarones (confetti filled eggs) and
pinatas. Musical entertainment will also be provided. Food available
for purchase includes fajitas, beans, chips, dessert, and soda. For

St. STEPHEN'S 5 de MAYO CELEBRATION:
St. Stephen's Catholic Student Center is celebrating Cinco De Mayo
Sunday, May 4 at 5 p.m. Attend the celebration and support the 14
members of the St. Stephen's community going on a service trip to
the El Faro Orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico. Tickets are $5 for students
