NEW SILVERPLATTER DATABASE INTERFACE:
Rod Library will be offering demonstrations of the new SilverPlatter
WebSPIRS interface, used with databases such as ERIC and PsycINFO,
on Jan. 23 from 10 to 11 a.m. and Jan. 24 from 11 a.m. - noon in room

DINING SPECIALS: Take advantage

STUDENT COMPUTER CENTERS: SCCs
provide convenient computing and network access for students, faculty
& staff in various facilities. These centers are located in the
Rod Library, Maucker Union, Redeker Center, Redeker Cyber bar, ROTH
Complex, Schindler Education Center, Campbell Hall, Lawther Hall,
Bridge Lounge, Wellness Center, and Towers Center. Each Computer Center
offers a variety of software applications, access to UNI's e-mail
system and the Internet as well as laser printing.

FAST TRAC ENTREPRENEURIAL TRAINING:
The UNI Regional Business Center will host Fast Trac, a national training
program for new and existing entrepreneurs. Each session includes
classroom instruction, a presentation by an expert from the local
business community, and an opportunity to network with other Cedar
Valley entrepreneurs. Classes take place on Saturday mornings, from
8:30 a.m. to noon Jan. 25 - March 15, at the UNI Regional Business

reports that Negotiations are complete for 2003 discount rates on
the State Universities of America (SUA) hotel agreement. The new agreement
period is Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2003. The various discount average

Public Forum hosted by numerous local agencies and organizations,
including UNI, will take place Saturday, Jan. 18, at Area Education

public is invited to hear remarks from area legislators and for an
opportunity to ask questions of area lawmakers. Julia Wallace, dean
