BILLIARD TABLES FOR SALE: Four slate 8' billiard tables with oak bases
will be sold by sealed bid. Tables may be seen in Maucker Union Game
Room Monday through Friday 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Tables are numbered and
bids must be made for the specified table number. Bids are due by
noon, Monday Sept. 30 in a sealed envelope to Vince Heuer, UNI
Controllers Office. Purchaser is responsible for removing table at
their own expense. Tables must be removed by Friday Oct. 4, 5:00 p.m.
Questions about tables may be directed to Bryan Beardsley, 3-2256.
Questions about bids should be directed to Vince Heuer, 3-3527.

WING DING: Sample the Cedar Valley's best chicken wings at the 4th
Annual Wing Ding, 5-9 p.m. Sept. 19 in Overman Park, Cedar Falls.
Tickets are $5 in advance, $10 at the gate. The Wing Ding is hosted by
the Cedar Falls Chamber of Commerce. UNI is an institutional member of
the chamber, and Renee Romano, UNI vice president for Educational &
Students Services is chair-elect of the organization.

UNI VOLLEYBALL: The highest ranked team in school history opens
home conference play this weekend in the West Gym. The Panthers play
state rival Drake on Friday night at 7 pm and Creighton on Saturday
night at 7:30 pm. Cheer on UNI Volleyball this weekend.

EARTH SCIENCE DEPARTMENT: Friday, Sept. 20 8 p.m. view the planets
and stars, UNI Hillside Observatory. (Access from Jennings Drive,
south of Hillside Courts). If the sky is cloudy, visit the planetarium
in the Earth Science Department in Latham Hall.

UNI FOOTBALL: The nationally-ranked Panthers host Stephen F. Austin
in the UNI-Dome this Saturday afternoon at 4:05pm. For only $40,
a family recieves four general admission tickets, four slices of pizza,
four drinks and a tub of popcorn.

FAMILY WEEKEND OPEN HOUSES: Enjoy collection tours and a college
yearbook display at the University Museum from 1-4 pm, Sept. 21.
The Marshall Center One-Room School will be open from 11-2, with

A NEW PLAY: 'Grand Isle Stories,' written and directed by UNI alum
and associate professor of communication studies at Central Iowa
College, Dennis Doyle, will be presented Friday, Sept. 20 and Saturday,
