STAFF TRAINING GRANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Effective for the Summer 2002 semester, the grant funds will be equally divided between all applicants each semester. No late applications will be accepted. After the deadline, all applicants will receive a letter of approval with an estimated grant amount. After proof of satisfactory course completion is received, available funds will be disbursed. The document outlines areas of responsibility and provides step-by-step procedures to follow in the event of an emergency involving UNI students, faculty and staff abroad for purposes of study or research under the auspices of UNI. CONSTRUCTION:
Steam tunnel repair will begin Wednesday, May 15 and run through mid-August,
in front of Gilchrist Hall. Please refer to the campus map at http://www.uni.edu/pubrel/ccm.html
A temporary road will be constructed through the A lot, allowing access
to the Baker lot for deliveries and emergency vehicles. This road
also will allow access to the A parking lot. Access to the A lot also
will be allowed from Ohio St. and Redeker Dr. The metered lot in front
of Gilchrist will be closed. Ohio Street and University Avenue, and
Twenty-seventh Street and Hudson Road will be the primary entrances
to campus. Also necessitated will be the closing of the north- and
south-bound sidewalk on the east side of Gilchrist, running past the
Greenhouse. Pedestrians will need to use the sidewalks west of the
Greenhouse.
