ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE LICENSING: With the ITS acquisition of Norton
AntiVirus Software for the entire campus, Command (F-Prot) AntiVirus
software licensing will not be renewed when the license agreement
expires July 31. If you are still using Command (small yellow "C"
icon on right side of the taskbar) on your Windows system, please
make arrangements with your support coordinator to remove this product
and to have Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition installed.

NEW STELTOR CALENDAR CLIENT: The newest release of the Steltor
calendar software (CorporateTime version 6.0 for Windows; version 5.0
for Motif) is now available, contact your campus computer liaison for
installation. These new releases require either IE 5.0 or Netscape
4.76 or above browsers. Additionally, a CorporateTime for the Web
(Version 3.0.1) maintenance release will be installed soon.

STATE FAIR DISPLAY: UNI will exhibit at the Iowa State Fair, Aug.
8-18. The university's tradeshow booth will highlight UNI's impact
and service to the state. A 10 ft. backdrop is being created to
highlight photo profiles of alumni. Faculty and staff from all
colleges and departments are encouraged to share names of alumni
who are strong examples of the high quality graduates UNI serves.

immediately following their respective commencement ceremonies.

CONVOCATION: A convocation to honor the beginning of the academic
year will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 28 in the GBPAC,
Great Hall. Campuswide support and attendance is needed to help
stress the importance of this milestone in students' lives.
P & S staff members who have advanced degrees and are eligible to
wear a hood with their robes are invited to march with the faculty.

CHANGES REGARDING 15-PASSENGER VANS: The following changes are
in response to National Highway Traffic Administration safety
warnings regarding fully loaded 15-passenger vans. Beginning with
the May term, drivers of leased 15-passenger vans will be required
to have a CDL (commercial driver's license). If the driver does
not have a CDL, the UNI motor pool will have a limited number of
15-passenger vans available that have the rear seat removed --
which limits the number of passengers to 10. For more information,

BFA EXHIBITION: The exhibition runs from May 5 - May 11, KAB. The
graduating artists will host a reception on May 10 from 6 p.m. -
8 p.m. Six artists are participating in this exhibition: Molly I.
Brauhn, Gillian G. Christy, William Pendry, Stephanie Sailer,
Ann Schwab and Crystal Weiss. The exhibition and reception are
free and open to the public.

AEOP HONOREES: New officers for the 2002-2003 academic year are:
President, Karen Williams; President-elect, Judy Dieken; Secretary,
Diane Hensley; and Treasurer, Nadine Lilleskov. Educational
professional of the year is John Krumbholz. Office professional
of the year is Judy Dieken. AEOP members may attend the
installation of new officers ceremony at 5:00 p.m., May 7 at the

The Friends of KUNI/KHKE host the 17th annual "Evening in
Celebration of Wine and Tulips" Saturday, May 11 at 6 p.m. in
Maucker Union. Over 200 domestic and imported wines can be
sampled, plus midwest cheeses. Signed Gary Kelley posters will
be for sale and there will be a silent auction of art and gift
items. Fresh cut tulips and jazz by the Bob Dunn Quartet add to
the atmosphere. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door.

Chidatmananda of Chinmaya mission is a popular eastern spiritual
leader. He is acclaimed for his ability to unfold complex
philosophical concepts with ease. He will conduct two discourses
on Friday May 10 & Monday May 13 (6:00 PM to 8:00 PM) in CBB 109.
The topics are "Values for Excellence" and "From Fear to Fearlessness."
All interested are welcome to attend.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: The Management & Professional Development
Center will present "Understanding and Managing Stress" on Tuesday,
May 14, 9-4, in rooms 1-3 of CBB. The facilitator is Pat Galasso of

WORKSHOP ON CONFLICT RESOLUTION: This session will help you
understand the reasons for conflict and key steps to conflict
resolution that will leave everyone feeling more productive,
