ITS/ET EQUIPMENT CHECK OUT:
Educational Technology-Equipment Check- Out has audiovisual equipment
(including laptop computers) available to supplement what each department
offers. Equipment is delivered to and picked up from departmental
offices on campus once a day Mon. through Fri., or items can be picked
up at the Center for Educational Technology room 113. Reservations
should be made at least two days before the equipment is needed. For

NEW AT ITS: ITS-Educational
Technology is announcing the release of a new Web site for "Live Media."
This site features live media events occurring at UNI delivered to
your computer via the Internet/Intranet. These events include speeches,
homecoming activities, Panther athletic broadcasts, UNI radio stations
and campus Web cams. The site's URL is http://www.UNI.edu/livemedia.
The site will also be available at UNI's home page and the MyUNIverse
Web portal. To view most of the media from this site, you will need
to download the Realplayer from http://www.real.com/player (click
on the "free player" link). To request a live Internet/Intranet broadcast
of your event, contact Chuck Sengstock at 3-6192 or Rick Seeley at

are held each week on alternating Tuesdays at 12 p.m. and Thursdays

HOW TO CONTACT LEGISLATORS:
Personal e-mail to legislators should be transmitted via a personal
e-mail provider, not the UNI e-mail system. If expressing your personal
opinion to legislators via mail, use non-university stationery. UNI's
Office of Governmental Relations oversees university communication
with elected officials. As legislation is proposed, Governmental Relations
often asks faculty, staff and students to contact legislators on UNI's
behalf. If you have a university-related issue to share with elected
officials, contact the Office of Governmental Relations, at 3-6144.

FEMA PRESENTATION ON GROUND ZERO:
Dr. Michael Barker, University of Missouri-Columbia, will give a presentation
on how the Federal Emergency Management Agency responded to events
at "Ground Zero" in New York. Friday, Jan. 25, 10am - noon, in CET
202 (the ICN room). The presentation will be transmitted live from

EXHIBIT OPENING AT THE MUSEUM:
"Thirty Years of Rock and Roll: Photography by Larry Hulst" opens
at the Museum on Jan. 27 and will be on display through Mar. 17. This
exhibit features 70 of the best "in concert" shots. Opening reception,
