HONORARY DEGREE NOMINATIONS:
The Committee on Honorary Degrees is soliciting nominations for potential
recipients of honorary degrees for submission to the President. A
statement of the policies and procedures can be found in the UNI Policies
and Procedures Manual or by contacting the Graduate College at 3-2748.
Nominations, marked "confidential," should be submitted to the Graduate
Dean's Office, LNG 122, by Jan. 25, 2002 for consideration. Supporting
material must accompany nominations.

WELLNESS FACILITY FEES PRO-RATED:
Facility user fees are pro-rated as of Jan. 14, 2002. This allows
access to WRC, East Pool, and Health Beat. The fee includes family
hours and is good through August 2002. The cost is $80.

Located in Lang 245, the Studio for Innovative Teaching is an interactive
classroom equipped with a touch screen SMART Board, 20 Gateway wireless
laptops, and a videoconferencing unit. ITS Educational Technology
offers the use of StudioIT at no charge to UNI faculty for classroom

SPRING FITNESS SCHEDULE:
The spring class schedule for fitness, leisure, and certification
classes is available in Maucker Union and the WRC. Registration began
Mon., Dec. 10. Check out new classes including: Water Kickboxing,
Boot Camp, Tae Kickboxing, Chinese Kung Fu and Total Body Conditioning.

MAIL CENTER REDUCED OPERATIONS:
Mail Center will not deliver during university reduced operations.
Mail can be picked up at the Mail Center window between the hours
of 10 a.m. and noon December 26, 27, 28, 31. If you only want designated
personnel to pick up your mail, call 3-2448. The Mail Center will
not process outgoing U.S. mail or Federal Express during the reduced
operations period. Print Services (PHP) & Copy Central (147 Rod Library)
will be closed Dec. 24 through Jan. 1.

FALL COMMENCEMENT SCHEDULED:
UNI Fall 2001 Commencement will be held Sat., Dec. 22 at 11 a.m. in
the UNI-Dome. Students who have made prior arrangements to participate
in the ceremony should report to the West Concourse at 9:30 a.m. Faculty
who plan to participate should report outside the Hall of Fame room

The first floor case contains an exhibit by ROTC, while the case on
second floor has a Harry Potter theme. The case in Reference has a

RRTC CALLS FOR PROPOSAL:
The Recycling and Reuse Technology Transfer Center has again joined
the College of Natural Science Applied Technology Research Program
(ATR) in soliciting pre-proposals for projects. The RRTTC plans to
award $40,000 and CNS anticipates awarding $40,000 for new projects.

agencies from the Cedar Valley will be present to recruit volunteers
for a variety of service opportunities. All majors are welcome.
