ACCESS
UNI SITE TO BE RETIRED:
The AccessUNI site will go into retirement effective the week of December
17. All links previously available through AccessUNI are available
through the MyUNIverse portal. A direct login to MyUNIverse will be
included on the AccessUNI home page for your convenience during the

FALL COMMENCEMENT SCHEDULED:
UNI Fall 2001 Commencement will be held Sat., Dec. 22 at 11 a.m. in
the UNI-Dome. Students who have made prior arrangements to participate
in the ceremony should report to the West Concourse at 9:30 a.m. Faculty
who plan to participate should report outside the Hall of Fame room

NCA ACCREDITATION: The
North Central Association of Colleges and Universities (NCA) Higher
Learning Commission recently continued UNI's accreditation. The announcement
came after an evaluation team reviewed UNI's self-study process and
made a campus visit in February. They cited among the university's
strengths a fiscally sound and dynamically managed university, the
institution's maintenance of relatively small classes, continued development
of new program initiatives, and newer facilities.

AUCTION: UNI's next auction
is scheduled for Tues., Dec. 11 at 10 a.m. at 2412 West 27th St. A
large variety of misc. furniture and equipment will be sold including
desks, chairs, computer equipment, files, cabinets, fluorescent ceiling
lights, Sony color cameras, bikes, projectors, vehicle parts, stereo
equipment and more. All items are sold "as is" and must be removed
the day of the sale. All items must be paid for in cash (good check)
at the site before removal. A photo ID will be required to obtain
a bidding number.

NEW AREA CODE DIALING ENFORCED:
In March, the eastern area of the 319 area code was split and given
the new prefix 563. It is necessary to use the 563 area code to the
area subject to the split. A list of area code locations is available

The UNI Gallery of Art will present work by MA artists, Patricia J.
Smith and Alexandra Dooley, and BFA artists, Erin Hoffman and Jill Ann
Zevenbergen. The exhibition is free and open to the public. Gallery
hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Mon. through Thurs.; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fri.;
