UNI VOLLEYBALL IN SWEET SIXTEEN:
UNI Volleyball defeated Minnesota 3-2 Saturday to advance to the NCAA
Division I Volleyball Sweet Sixteen. They will play this Thursday night
in California against Long Beach State at 9 p.m. (Central time).

SMASH MOUTH VENUE CHANGE:
The Smash Mouth concert will be held in the West Gym on Dec. 5 at 8
p.m. (not the UNI-Dome). The opening act will be local band Gravity
Crush. Tickets are $15 for UNI students and $20 for the general public.
There will be no refunds.

STUDENT GRADE SHEETS NO LONGER BEING
MAILED: Commencing with the Fall 2001 semester, printed grade
reports will no longer be mailed to students. Please refer to http://www.uni.edu/regist/gradesfa.htm
for information about accessing and printing grade reports. Students
who need a printed copy and do not have Web access may request a copy
by calling the Office of the Registrar at 3-2241.

NEW AREA CODE DIALING ENFORCED:
In March, the eastern area of the 319 area code was split and given
the new area code 563. For a period of time calls to the area could
be placed using either area code. However, as of December 2nd, it will
be necessary to use the 563 area code to the area subject to the split.

the first week in January the Rod Library will be implementing a new
homepage. In anticipation of that event the library would like to make

WEATHER ANNOUNCEMENTS: All
vehicles should be removed from G, A and B parking lots between 1 a.m.
and 7 a.m. Failure to do so hinders snow removal activities and can
result in a fine or towing. Weather can cause delays or cancellation
of classes. Local TV and radio stations will announce UNI weather-related
decisions. Announcements also will be posted on the UNI home page. If
there is no announcement, plan on normal operations. If you are unsure
about reporting to work, contact your supervisor.

SCREENING OF "MY HEART IS MY WITNESS":
The Women's Studies Program invites everyone to view this video on women
in Islam. The one-hour video will be shown twice in Baker 161: Thurs.,

through the generosity of "Women Make Movies," a video distribution
company in New York, which hopes to enhance understanding of Islam on

IOWA SPACE GRANT CONSORTIUM HOLDS ANNUAL
CONFERENCE: Recipients of consortium research grants will
report on their projects at the annual meeting of the NASA-sponsored
group on Dec. 7 at Iowa Valley Community College in Marshalltown. The
International Space Station will be the subject of the invited speaker.

SPECIAL SATURDAY SMART START CLASS:
The UNI Regional Business Center will be holding workshops on starting
a business and writing and researching a business plan. The workshops
are free, but advanced registration is required, and space is limited.

The first workshop will offer an overview of the decisions and requirements
for starting a small business. The second workshop is Business Plan
Writing. The third workshop is Hands-on Research and Writing in the
