NEW PROCEDURE TO UPDATE THE CAMPUS
TELEPHONE DIRECTORY FOR 2001-2002: Please visit http://www.uni.edu/pubrel/phone_book
to review current information published in the following sections of
the 2000-2001 phone book: 1. Office Directory and Campus Governance
Groups, pages 5-12 2. UNI FAX numbers, pages 13 and 14 3. Departmental/Office
World Wide Web Home Pages, pages 15 and 16 Please review these sections
for accuracy. If there are changes in your office listing in any of
these sections for 2001-2001, please follow the directions in the link
above to submit changes. THE DEADLINE FOR THESE CHANGES IS FRIDAY, SEPT.
7. No additional changes will be accepted after that date.

MEMFIS "ORACLES:" Visit
the MEMFIS "oracles" for answers to your Oracle Financial System questions.
Two "hands on" workshops have been scheduled for those who would like
a refresher on functions and skills learned in MEMFIS training. There
will be no formal presentation; the focus will be on your questions.

MODEM POOL: The 30-hour
per month limitation on the UNI modem pool (3-2664) will resume on Sept.
1. That limitation was not enforced during the summer and interim periods.

KEY REQUESTS: Due to once-a-day
mail delivery, the waiting period for building key requests may be increased.
To shorten the wait,fax your building key requests to Linda Noble, 3-5810.
The policy is, request in by 8 a.m., keys can be picked up after noon
the next day.

STUDENT EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY: You
can now view student employment eligibility on MyUniverse. It will be
under the label "My Transactions" on the portal. An "Authorization for
Transaction Usage" form must be completed and forwarded to April in
Financial Aid (0024) to gain access. This allows employers to check
work study eligibility, student enrollment, and initial forms required.
If you have any questions, please contact the Student Employment Office

This summer there have been many changes to the student employment process,
so if you are not already on the Student Employment List Serve, now

WEBCT: Faculty using WebCT
this semester, there are on-line tutorials available for WebCT by following
the link below. You may use them in your class to teach how to use WebCT
or have your students view the tutorials on their own in the student

LOCKED OUT OF VOICE MAIL:
Anyone unable to access their voice mail box should call the Consulting
Center at 273-5555. Remember to provide your 5-digit extension number
and specify whether you want it CLEARED (deleting the recorded name,
greeting and any messages) or only RESET (leaving the recorded greeting
and messages intact). All requests are processed daily and are reset
using the initial password "9".

Requests for service from Facilities Planning can now be made and tracked
on-line. Building drawings and room square footages as well as status
of major projects are available at the site. For information log on

PANTHER PARK: Celebrate
UNI Football's home opener Thurs., Aug. 30 with a pre-game party in
Panther Park on the East Plaza of the UNI-Dome. Panther Park is open
to the public and includes a live band, food and beverages. Admission
is free. The park opens at 5 p.m. and kickoff is at 7:05 p.m.
