Copy Central prepares, prints and sells course packets. There are several
advantages to using Copy Central: a free copy of the course packet for

reserve lists should be in by Fri., Aug. 10. to guarantee reserve materials

WEBCT WORKSHOP: ITS-Educational
Technology, is offering free WebCT workshops on Aug. 15th and 16th for
faculty members at UNI. WebCT is a tool that allows you to create on-line
courseware as a supplement to an existing face-to-face course, or to
help you create a course that is completely on-line. You should have
some experience in creating your own Web pages. For more information,

EQUIPMENT CHECK OUT: As
the school year quickly approaches, UNI faculty and staff should note
that Educational Technology-Equipment Check Out has audiovisual equipment
(including laptop computers) available to supplement what your department
offers. Equipment is delivered to and picked up from departmental offices
on campus once a day Monday through Friday, or items can be picked up
at the CET room #113. Reservations should be made at least two days
before equipment is needed. For reservations or inquiries call 3-2342,

EMPLOYEE SURVEY: All UNI
employees are invited to participate in a survey on employee attitudes
and organizational change conducted by Kim LeGro, a psychology graduate
student, for her masters thesis. Participation is anonymous. The survey

FACILITIES PLANNING: Facilities
Planning announces a new web site. http://www.vpaf.uni.edu/facplan/
All requests for Facilities Planning services (including furniture)
should now be submitted through this Web site. Information on Facilities
Planning and project request procedures are included on the Web site.
Areas of the site are still under development. Feedback is appreciated.

WRS FACILITY REGISTRATION:
WRS will begin accepting registrations on August 1. Annual facility
usage runs from Sept. 1, 2001 to August 31, 2002 at an individual cost
of $120 for UNI Faculty/Staff or their spouse. You may register one
of three ways: New - online registration! You may register for facility
usage at http://access.uni.edu/wrs/user/index.cgi
and for towel service at
http://access.uni.edu/wrs/towel/index.cgi or log on to Access UNI,
go into the forms repository under WRS Facility User Registration and
print a facility registration form. Mail completed form to: 0201 Wellness/Recreation
Services, or stop in our office, WRC 101, and register in person. Do

PARKING LOT MAINTENANCE 2001/PAVEMENT
SEAL COATING: Pavement seal coating will take place in three
campus lots on Aug. 13, 14 and 15,2001. 1.) ART SOUTH LOT, August 13,14,15
2.) CAMPBELL WEST C LOT, August 13,14,15 3.) GILCHRIST A LOT August
13,14,15. Seal coating in the GILCHRIST A LOT will take place in two
phases requiring one-half of the lot to be closed at a time. The south
side of the GILCHRIST A LOT (south of sidewalk) will be closed Monday
Aug. 13 and Tuesday Aug. 14. The north side of the GILCHRIST A LOT (north
of sidewalk) will be closed Wednesday Aug. 15. In the case of inclement
weather, the work shall proceed the following day. Signage will be provided
at each lot to announce shedule changes.

PARKING PERMITS: It's not
too late to order your parking permit online. It can be mailed to you,
or picked up at the Department of Public Safety. The deadline for applying
online for your 2001-2002 parking permit is Aug. 15th. The charges can
either be payroll deducted for staff and faculty, or put on a student's
Ubill. To access the online application, visit Access UNI and go to
the link for the 2001-2002 parking permit application. You'll need your
social security number and PIN in order to access the online application.
For those wishing to purchase permits in person, they are now available
at 102 Gilchrist Hall during business hours. If you have questions,
contact Ann Kjeld at 3-2710.

STUDENT EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY:
You can now view student employment eligibility on MyUniverse News.
It will be under the label "My Transactions" on the portal. An "Authorization
for Transaction Usage" form must be completed and forwarded to April
in Financial Aid (0024) to gain access. This allows employers to check
work study eligibility, student enrollment, and initial forms required.

DOR MOVE: The administrative
offices for the Department of Residence have moved to Redeker Center.
We would like to thank the campus community for helping guests and students
find our 2000-2001 location in Towers Center and we will appreciate
all cooperation as people become familiar with our return to Redeker
Center. Please feel free to stop in and see the new offices located
on the lower level.
