CANCELLATION NOTICE: The
"CHANGE LEADERSHIP" workshop scheduled for today, April 19 at 3:30 p.m.
has been cancelled because Doug Whittle, the presenter, is ill. The
workshop will not be rescheduled this semester.

PERSONNEL ADVISORY COMMITTEE:
Congratulations are in order to the newly elected members for the Merit
Personnel Advisory Committee. Those elected were: Yvonne Duggan, Development
Office, and Nancy Wegand, Instructional Resources & Techology Services.

VOLLEYBALL T-SHIRTS FOR SALE:
The volleyball team is selling UNI/USA T-shirts to fund its team trip
to Europe in May. Shirts are $15 and come in gray or white. Contact

MEMFIS: UNI's journey to
MEMFIS is getting closer every day! Team members will begin sharing
project Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) with the campus. Today's
FAQ's are at: http://www.uni.edu/vpaf/memfis/faq.htm.
If you have questions regarding the MEMFIS Project, you can submit them
to memfis-help@uni.edu.

PARKING: This will be a
challenging week for parking on campus. Fri. will be the most difficult
day. Thur.,through Sat., the University will host the Model UN Conference,
in Maucker Union. Eighty permits will be issued for the South Dome B
lot. The event will be held in Maucker Union. Also, the Beginning Reading
Conference will be held in the SEC on Fri., April 20, with participants
parking in the Nebraska Street R lot, the North Dome R lot and the South
Dome lot. 30-35 vendors and exhibitors will be using the Latham Field
A parking lot to the west of the Ed Center. Hopefully this information
will help with your plans for parking on these days.

MEMFIS
TRAINING:
If you missed previous training sessions for the MEMFIS Project there
will be one more opportunity during the week of April 30-May 3. A list
of workshops and descriptions will be found on the Web site below. Please
call 3-2309 before 3 p.m. April 24 to let us know which of the workshops
you need. We will schedule additional sessions based on your input and

UNI INTERPRETERS THEATRE PRODUCTION:
"Hidden: A Gender" written by Kate Bornstein and directed by Amanda

RELIGIOUS ARCHITECTURE:
On April 20, 2001, 4 p.m., Baker 161,there will be a workshop on "Teaching
About Religious Architecture." Peter W. Williams, Miami University of
Ohio, an esteemed scholar of American religious architecture, will speak
about ways educators can make religious architecture a theme in college
courses. Of special interest to high school and university faculty,
the workshop is free and open to the public. Questions: contact Martie

LANGUAGE COLLOQUIUM: Cheryl
Roberts from the TESOL/Applied Linguistics Program will present: "The
Minority Languages of Vietnam." Friday, April 20, CAC 236 from 1-2 p.m.
This presentation will introduce the complexity of the language situation

VIOLENCE PREVENTION: U 'n
I Playback Workshop on "Gender Violence on Campus" will be presented
April 23 at 3 p.m. in CAC 108. These workshops are pilot studies for
a violence prevention program that will be presented to all new students
in the Fall of 2001. Sponsored by the Women's Studies grant to prevent
violence on campus and the department of Communication Studies. For

Regional Business Center will present a five-week FastTrac entrepreneurial
training course starting Mon., April 23. Sessions will be held Mon.
