FACULTY GRANTS: A grants
program is offered through the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching.
Its purpose is to provide small grants to faculty who want to invite
graduates to discuss and demonstrate connections between their work,
their lives and their education at UNI with current students. The deadline
to submit proposals for the Summer term is April 15th. For more information,

ROD LIBRARY RESERVE REINSTATEMENTS:
Reserve reinstatement letters have been sent. If you would like to have
the same items on reserve for the Summer or Fall semesters, please fill
a form and return it with the item list to the Reserve Desk (3675).
The forms are due May 4. After this date all items will be returned

RESIGNATION:
Wendell McConnaha, associate professor and director of UNI's Malcolm
Price Laboratory School, has announced his resignation, effective
at the end of this school year.McConnaha will become an associate
professor in the College of Education at Zayed University, in Abu
Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. McConnaha will be in charge of the planning
and development of two laboratory schools, one on the university's
Abu Dhabi campus and one on its Dubai campus. Beginning with the 2002-2003
academic year, he will be named director of the laboratory schools.McConnaha
has been the Price Lab School director for four years.

MIDDLE LEVEL SYMPOSIUM: UNI
and Price Laboratory School are pleased to offer a two-week summer
enrichment program for middle level students in Mathematics and English.

The Undergraduate Research and Experiential Learning Conference will

weekend the Softball team will host Wichita State in a doubleheader

NCAA CERTIFICATION FORUM:
Students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in the NCAA
Certification Open Forum to be held on April 23 from Noon - 1:30 p.m.
in the State College Room, Maucker Union. The purposes of this forum
are to inform the university community about the athletic certification
process and to allow students, faculty and staff to have input into
the self-study. Rick Hartzell, UNI Director of Athletics and Susan
