LEGISLATIVE UPDATE: Governor Tom
Vilsack is widely expected to veto most of a $26 million fiscal year
2001 deappropriation bill passed by the Iowa House and Senate last
week. The bill as written would cut UNI's current fiscal year budget

TRAVEL WITH THE PANTHERS: Cheer
on the UNI women's basketball team as they play at DePaul this Friday
night at 7 p.m. in the WNIT postseason tournament. The CF Chamber
of Commerce has organized a fan bus to travel to Chicago for the game.

TRAVEL NEWS: TWA is celebrating
American's takeover by putting all domestic and international fares
on sale for as much as 50% off the regular fare through March 16.
The fares are non-refundable and require a 14 day advance purchase.
International fares require a 7 day advance. Travel is valid between
March 27 and May 31.

WRS PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT: Wellness
and Recreation Services encourages faculty and staff to consider getting
involved with the Noon Basketball Program (NBA), a drop in program,
offered weekday noon hours on the WRC south gym courts. A limited
number of spots are available for non-university people (there is
a cost associated). Additional information regarding the program is

VISITOR INFORMATION CENTER: The
Visitor Information Center (booth off of University Avenue) will be
closed during spring break. Visitors to campus may obtain a guest/visitor
parking pass from the Public Safety Office or from the University
Visitor Center (corner of 27th Street and Hudson Road).
