FUNDED DEPARTMENTAL POSITIONS: Sixteen positions are available for students to staff University departments and programs on a part-time, temporary basis for the academic year Fall 2001-Spring 2002. MEMFIS PROJECT: MEMFIS will "go-live" with applications for General Ledger, Purchasing, Cash Management, and Accounts Payable on July 1, 2001. To ensure that you are ready to use the system, the MEMFIS Training Team is asking you to complete a brief survey. If your job tasks involve account reconciliation, purchasing, budget fund transfer, accounts payable, initiating air travel or document approval, then your support and timely response to our survey is crucial! The survey will be available in two formats: on-line and paper. If you would like to complete the survey on-line, watch your email for an announcement and directions to access the form through Access UNI. BUILDING KEY REQUESTS: Approved Building Key Request forms that are received into the Physical Plant office by 4 p.m. will be processed and the keys available for pick-up after 12 p.m. of the next work day. Please allow delivery time for requests sent by campus mail. Completed requests that are faxed will be accepted. Please refer any questions to Linda Noble 3-6907, fax 3-5810.

SPRING CAREER AND INTERNSHIP FAIR: The UNI Career Center is sponsoring the Spring Career and Internship Fair on Wednesday, January 31 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Maucker Union Expansion. More than 70 employers, representing business, government, and human services will attend this event to talk with students about job and internship opportunities. CREDIT FOR CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: As part of an effort to encourage students to participate in co-curricular activities, the Leadership Studies Program is offering one credit for students who attend the Leaders on Leadership series offered most Thursdays from 3:30-4:45 p.m. Some writing is required. TRAINING

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: The Management and Professional Development Center in the College of Business will present "Getting and Keeping a Top Notch Workforce" on Tuesday, February 6 and repeated Wednesday, February 7. This workshop is designed for anyone who participates in workforce recruitment and retention. The tuition for UNI employees is $132 and includes student materials, lunch and light morning and afternoon refreshments.
