CHEMICAL INVENTORY REPORT: The University Safety Office needs
help completing the annual chemical inventory. Any department
using/ storing chemicals (includes products with MSDS) needs
to submit an inventory to Baker 164 by Oct. 31. Inventories
should include the chemical/product name, manufacturer name,
amount stored, and room number. For more information, call 3-5855.

"MESSIAH" SING-A-LONG: The "Messiah" sing-a-long will be held
Sun, Dec 10. Faculty and staff interested in participating
should attend rehearsals from 5-6:30 p.m. Sundays, beginning

EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT: The Management and Professional Development
Center will present two sessions of "The Legal Environment of
Business: What You Don't Know Will Hurt You" with attorney Ray
Walton on Thurs., Oct. 12, and repeated Thurs., Oct. 19, from
9 a.m.-4 p.m. in 1-3, CBB. This workshop is for individuals who
are involved in interviewing, hiring, employee discipline, and
terminations. The $132 tuition includes student materials, lunch and

REPRESENTATIVE SPEAKING: Representative Bill Witt will be speaking
at the UNI Rotaract meeting on Wed., Oct. 4 in Seerly 14 at 5:30 p.m.
He will be speaking on his experiences in the legislature and current
issues and then will allow time for questions.

ARCHEOLOGY SOCIETY MEETING: The October meeting of the Black Hawk
Regional Archeology Society will be held Wed., Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. in
the basement of the Cedar Falls Public Library. Pat Higby will be
speaking on the subject of "Replica Making."

THEATRE UNI: Theatre UNIs 2000/2001 season opens Oct. 5.
The Singular Life of Albert Nobbs, will run from Oct. 5 - 7
& 12-14 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 8 & 15 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bertha
Martin Theatre. Tickets are $7 for UNI faculty and staff and $6

INTRAMURAL FUN RUN: Fri., Oct 6 at 3:55 p.m. a 1.5 mile fun run for
men and women will be held on the intramural fields. Registration
is from 3-3:45 p.m. on the day of the run in WRC 101. Entry fee $5.

SYMPHONY: The Waterloo/Cedar Falls Symphony opens its season
Oct. 6-7 at the Gallagher-Bluedorn Center. Led by conductor
Richard Rosenberg, the 7:30 p.m. performance will feature pianist
