FINAL STRATEGIC PLAN ONLINE: The UNI Cabinet and Governance groups have
finalized the UNI 2001 - 2006 Strategic Plan "Focused on Excellence,"
and the plan is now on the university's web site at
The new strategic plan will be presented to the Board of Regents for
approval later this year. This new plan is the result a collaborative
effort that involved representatives from across campus. The plan is
based on the presumption that UNI does, and will continue to do, many
things well. Therefore the plan focuses on the handful of initiatives
that can have an impact over the next five years, maintaining the core
of an already fine institution while moving us forward at the margins.

be the first place we direct general visitors to campus," says David
