ANNUAL ELECTION OF MERIT EMPLOYEES: Human Resources and the UNI Cabinet
are sponsoring a meeting for merit employees Wednesday, May 3 at
2:45 p.m. in SEC 244/245 to elect seven Merit employees to serve as
representatives for various University Governance Committees. All

IRTS-SEC 222 will extend its hours the following days:
Monday, April 24-Thursday, April 27 7:45 a.m.-11 p.m.
Friday, April 28 7:45 a.m.-5 p.m.
Saturday, April 29 1-5 p.m.
Sunday, April 30 1-11 p.m.

LETTERHEAD INVENTORY NEEDED: There is a limited supply of the official
UNI letterhead paper and envelopes. Production of the paper (Beckett
Concept Harbor) has been discontinued. Please let UNI Print Services
know your inventory of letterhead and letterhead envelopes and
anticipated needs so they can best determine how to disperse the
remaining letterhead and envelopes that are available to us. Once used
up there will be a replacement paper for use with future orders.

CSBS RETIREMENT OPEN HOUSE: You are invited to an Open House honoring
retiring CSBS faculty members on Wednesday, May 3, 3-4:30 p.m. in the
Royal Oak Room. Honorees are Roy Chung from Geography and Hattie
Middleton from Design, Family, and Consumer Sciences.

NATIONAL PLAYGROUND SAFETY WEEK: National Playground Safety Week is
April 24-28. An initiative of the National Program for Playground
Safety (NPPS), headquartered at UNI, the week encourages adults
nationwide to take an active role in making all playgrounds safe for
children. The NPPS recently released a study indicating that, in terms
of safety, the nation's playgrounds overall receive a grade of "C."
Iowa received a grade of "C-." For more information on safe

INTERPRETERS THEATRE: UNI Interpreters Theatre presents the return of
"Iowa Stories: The Vietnam Experience." This true account of Iowans
who served in Vietnam will be presented April 25, 27 and 28in CAC 108
at 7:30 p.m. First produced in 1990, this is "Iowa Stories" third
return to the UNI Interpreters Theatre stage. No admission charge, but
arrive early, seating is limited.

is a professor of music and dean of the College of Music, and Koshelev
is an associate professor of music, with a specialty in piano, both
at the Russian State Pedagogical University in St. Petersburg.
