CHANGE LEADERSHIP: Doug Whittle, Performance Development Manager for
Pioneer Hi-Bred, will conduct a workshop April 13, 3:30-4:45 p.m., in
247 SEC. Doug will provide a hands-on opportunity for you to assess
your views related to change; learn about the 4 phases of the change
curve; identify skills to manage change; and learn how to lead others

ANNUAL STUDENT ART EXHIBITION: Tonight at 7 p.m., the Department of
Art and Galleries will present its Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition
in the KAB. The competition showcases outstanding recent works by
undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Art. At 8 p.m.,
awards totaling $3,000 will be given to deserving students by various
departments and donors. The exhibition will be on display through
April 19th and is free to the public.

DIFFICULT DIALOGUES LECTURE: Difficult Dialogues will featuring Que Lan,
UNI assistant professor of Biology, addressing "Working for Respect",
Friday, March 24, noon-1:30 p.m., Center for Multicultural Education.
Born in Wuhan, China, Dr. Que Lan will engage in a discussion of the
barriers she faced as a woman entering the academic world of science,
and now as a professional in entomology.

UNI BASEBALL THIS WEEKEND: Northern Iowa Baseball opens their home
conference schedule this Friday afternoon versus SW Missouri State at
2 p.m. at Waterloo Riverfront Stadium. The series continues on Saturday
with a doubleheader beginning at noon and finishes with a single game
Sunday at noon. Cheer on Panther Baseball this weekend.

HEARST CENTER CONCERT: The Hearst Center for the Arts will be sponsoring
its fifth annual Spring Fundraiser this Saturday at 8 p.m. in Russell
Hall Auditorium. UNI faculty members Howard Aibel (pianist) and Todd
Seelye (classical guitarist) will be performing. Both musicians are
nationally and internationally known for their performing and
interpretive abilities. Cost is $15 at the door.

PATRICIA DUARTE OPENS CME SPRING LECTURE SERIES: Patricia Duarte,
Founding Editor-in-Chief of Latina Magazine will open the CME 4th
annual lecture series on "The Political Landscape of Multiculturalism
in the 21st Century. Ms. Duarte will speak at 7 p.m., March 27 in
2532 McCollum. A reception follows the lecture.

MANNING MARABLE FEATURED AT CME 4TH ANNUAL LECTURE: Manning Marable,
Professor of History and Founding Director of the Institute for
Research in African-American Studies at Columbia University will
discuss "The Political Landscape of Multiculturalism in the 21st
Century." Mr. Marable will speak at 7 p.m., March 28 in 2532 McCollum.

Officer of The Seventh Generation Fund Environmental Program will
conclude the CME lecture series on "The Political Landscape of
Multiculturalism in the 21st Century. Ms. LaDuke will speak at 4 p.m.,
March 29 in 2532 McCollum. Reception and book signing follow the lecture.
