posted to your account, go to the TIAA/CREF website:

day after payday.

SCHOLARSHIP RENEWALS: Now is the time to process scholarship renewals
for the 2000-01 academic year. Financial aid packages will be awarded

UNI IN THE NEWS: A commercial honoring former UNI football players
now playing in the NFL was aired adjacent to the Superbowl and the
NFL Pro Bowl on certain Iowa television stations. The video, produced

ROYAL OAK ROOM CHANGES: The Royal Oak Room in the Maucker Union has
expanded its hours to 11:15-1:15, Monday through Friday. Bottomless
pop, tea, and coffee are included free with the purchase of any entree
along with a free fresh baked cookie from our bakery. Look for an
expanded menu coming soon.

WRC FAMILY DAY: The Wellness/Recreation Center will be open to ALL
UNI faculty, staff and their immediate families at no charge on
Saturday, March 4 from 1-5 p.m. For more information visit the WRS

PRO-RATED WRS USER FEE: The WRS annual user fee will be pro-rated to
$60 on March 10. The fee is good through August 2000. Early-bird
purchase will be available at the WRS Family Day and the week following

SMOKING CESSATION CLASS: If you have been thinking about quitting
smoking, WRS has a program to help you. The Win By Quitting program
provides group support, strategies, and the additional option of nicotine
replacement to help you quit. The eight-week program begins Thursday,
Feb. 17 at 4 p.m. The cost of $25 includes class materials and a
one-week supply of nicotine patches. To register, contact Kathy Gulick

CAMP ADVENTURE OPENINGS: Camp Adventure has 100 additional positions
this year. There will be a second Leadership Assessment Center on Saturday,
Feb. 12, from 8:45 a.m.to 1 p.m. in the WRC. Students interested in

UNI MEN'S BASKETBALL: UNI continues their home schedule on Saturday
afternoon against rival Southwest Missouri State. Game time is 1:05 p.m.
The Family Fun Zone at men's basketball includes four game tickets,

VALENTINES AND ROMANCE: THE REST OF THE STORY: Spend a fun afternoon
learning how the sweet scents of plants and flowers affect people and
what attracts people to each other. Presented by UNI professors Helen
Harton, psychology and Steve O'Kane, biology, and Museum Education

EATING DISORDER AWARENESS AND PREVENTION: A presentation will be held
Tuesday, Feb. 15 in the Ambassador Room of Maucker Union from
12:10-12:55 p.m., with tips for prevention of eating disorders and
ways to help someone that you think has an eating disorder. For more

WRS NET NIGHT: Wellness/Recreation Services will be hosting Net Night
Feb. 19 from 7-10 p.m. Four person co-ed teams will compete in
badminton, volleyball, table tennis and wallyball. Pre-registration
will take place Feb. 14-18 in WRC 101. Prizes will be awarded. For

BEAKS AND MUZZLES INTO MASKS: Study and sketch animals in the Museum's
collection, make a mask and paint it! Local artist Nina Ward will
present a workshop from 2-4 p.m. Feb. 19 & 26 for 9 to 14 year-olds
and younger children accompanied by a parent. A registration fee of
$15 will cover all materials. Register by February 16; space is limited.
