ROD LIBRARY CLASSES: Keeping Up with the Changes?: The Rod Library will
be conducting workshops on the latest versions of research tools -
Lexis/Nexis, INFOTRAC, and SilverPlatter(ERIC, PsychINFO, etc.).
Workshops will be held on:
-Thursday, Feb. 3 from 3-4:30 p.m. in Rod Library 286
-Friday, Feb. 18 from 10-11:30 a.m. in Rod Library 286 (corrected day)

UNI IN THE NEWS: A commercial honoring former UNI football players
now playing in the NFL was aired adjacent to the Superbowl and the
NFL Pro Bowl on certain Iowa television stations. The video, produced

AUTOGRAPHED KURT WARNER CARDS: Celebrate the success of UNI's Super
Bowl MVP by purchasing a limited edition trading card. Each card,
featuring Kurt Warner in a Panther uniform, is individually signed
by the star quarterback and is enclosed in an acrylic case. All
proceeds benefit the Kurt Warner Scholarship Endowment Fund. Call

ROYAL OAK ROOM CHANGES: The Royal Oak Room in the Maucker Union has
expanded it's hours to 11:15 - 1:15, Monday through Friday. Bottomless
pop, tea, and coffee are included free with the purchase of any entree
along with a free fresh baked cookie from our bakery. Look for an
expanded menu coming soon.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH EVENT: The Center for Multicultural Education is
sponsoring a panel discussion on "The Reparations Issue" on Tuesday,
Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. in Maucker Union Expansion A. Panelists will comment
on the text, "The Debt: What America Owes to Blacks". Panelists include:
Dr. Scharron Clayton, Dr. Roberto Clemente, and Dr. Catherine Zeman,

UNI MEN'S BASKETBALL: In a big game for the Panthers, men's basketball
hosts league-leading Indiana State Wednesday night in the UNI-Dome.
Tip-off is at 7:05 p.m. UNI continues their home schedule on Saturday
afternoon against rival Southwest Missouri State. Game time is 1:05 p.m.
The Family Fun Zone at men's basketball includes four game tickets,
four slices of pizza, four drinks and a tub of popcorn, all for only $30!

VALENTINES AND ROMANCE: THE REST OF THE STORY: Spend a fun afternoon
learning how the sweet scents of plants and flowers affect people and
what attracts people to each other. Presented by UNI professors Helen
Harton, psychology and Steve O'Kane, biology, and Museum Education
Coordinator Kerin Kettman. 2-4 p.m., Feb. 13, University Museum. Free.

EATING DISORDER AWARENESS AND PREVENTION: A presentation will be held
Tuesday, Feb. 15 in the Ambassador Room of Maucker Union from
12:10-12:55 p.m., with tips for prevention of eating disorders and
ways to help someone that you think has an eating disorder. For more

THEATRE UNI PRODUCTION: In celebration of Black History Month, Theatre
UNI offers a powerful look at the creation and perpetuation of
stereotypes that we still struggle with today. Theatre UNI presents
"I Ain't Yo' Uncle, The New Jack Revisionist Uncle Tom's Cabin", by
Robert Alexander, February 17 through 27 at the Strayer-Wood Theatre.
