UNI STRATEGIC PLAN INPUT NEEDED: The UNI Strategic Planning Committee
seeks your input in developing a university-wide strategic plan. 
On the web page listed below are DRAFT statements of University 
Vision, Mission, Values and Goals prepared by the Committee. Your 
input is critical in the process to develop a Strategic Plan for UNI 
that will address the issues the University as a whole believes are 
important. This Strategic Plan will set the University's  direction 
for the next several years. Please visit the Strategic Plan Draft web
site and provide your feedback by Tuesday, Nov. 23. 

UNI AEOP ADOPT-A-FAMILY: The members of the UNI AEOP (Association of 
Educational Office Professionals) have adopted three UNI students and 
their families to assist during the 1999 Holiday Season. Your help is 
needed! Information and items still needed by the families are 
available on the web site listed below. Donated items are needed by 
Nov. 23. Thank you for your help and generosity to help make this 
Holiday Season special for our AEOP adopted families! 

COCOA AND CAROLS: Bring your family to enjoy hot cocoa and cookies, 
sing traditional carols and reminisce about the traditions and 
activities in a one-room school. The University Museum will present 
two "Cocoa and Carols" programs at the Marshall Center One-Room 
School on Nov. 30, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and 7-8 p.m., and Sunday, 
Dec. 12, from 2-3 p.m. The programs are free and everyone is invited!
TREELIGHTING CEREMONY: A tradition that began on the UNI campus in 
1943 will be celebrated at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 30, with the holiday
tree lighting ceremony. The tree lighting will take place north of 
Maucker Union, with Santa Claus arriving in a horse-drawn carriage.
Around 7:15 p.m., festivities will continue inside Maucker Union 
with music, hot chocolate, hot apple cider, eggnog and cookies. 
Children will have an opportunity to visit with Santa Claus, and 
sleigh rides will be provided from 7:15 to 9 p.m. 
MUSEUM GIFT SHOP HOLIDAY SALE: Need a gift for that special person?  
Come to the Museum's Gift Shop Holiday Sale and choose from a variety
of international items, jewelry, books, music, t-shirts, children's 
toys & games and much more. Shop on Dec. 1-3, 9-4:30; Dec. 4-5 from 
1-4 p.m., or on the evening of Dec. 1 from 6-9 p.m.
THEATRE UNI:  UNISTA (UNI Student Theatre Association) presents "On 
the Verge" by Eric Overmyer, directed by Shannon Patterson.  A show 
about exploration, discovery and three women in search of new worlds.
Performances are Dec 2-4 at 8 p.m. and Dec. 5 at 1 p.m. Admission
is $3 at the Strayer-Wood Theatre.
