Measurement," Nov. 10 from 1-3 p.m. in the Maucker Union Expansion,

AIRLINE TICKET FEE: On Oct. 8 most major airlines again cut
commissions to travel agencies...the third in four years. With this
latest cutback the entire travel industry, including Short's Travel,
has been forced to shift from commission income rebates to a fee
structure. In essence, travel agencies can no longer rely on the
ticket price to determine their revenue, but instead on the number of
tickets they issue. For UNI this means a $20 transaction fee will be
added to all travel effective Oct. 25, 1999. Detailed information
will be posted to the Purchasing web site soon; any questions in the
interim may be addressed to:
Roxanne.Conrad@uni.edu.
