Visit the Iowa 2010 web site for more information and for a list of town meetings scheduled across Iowa Oct. 11-Nov.15. http://www.iowa2010.state.ia.us -------------------------------------------------------------------- The UNI Child Care Committee, operating on a grant from student activity fees, is making available child care grants to student parents to assist with off-campus child care costs. The deadline for grant application is Nov. 1. Herman Blake, professor and director of African American Studies at Iowa State University, from 4-5:15 p.m. Oct. 13 in the Maucker Union Expansion. Reservations requested only for entire classes attending; call 3-6898. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Homecoming is here, and both the UNI football and volleyball teams will be home to celebrate. The volleyball team (16-0) hosts Bradley on Friday night at 7 p.m. in the West Gym in a battle for first place. The football team hosts Cal Poly on Saturday in the UNI-Dome at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are still available for both events. Call 273-DOME for more information. Call 273-DOME for information. ------------------------------------------------------------------- The Student Activities Office and the UNI sport club, the Panther Pacers, are hosting "Homecoming '99", a cross country-style 5K race Saturday, Oct, 9, at 8 a.m. You will be done in plenty of time to watch the Homecoming Parade. Long sleeve T-shirts to all participants. Register at the Student Activities Office or forms are available at the WRC. Race day registration until 7:45 at the Intramural fields just west of the UNI-Dome.
