EVENTS

The UNI School of Music cordially invites you to attend the 
Eighteenth Annual Scholarship Benefit Concert "Celebrate the Century," 
Friday and Saturday, Sept. 24 and 25 at 8 p.m. in Russell Hall

The UNI Counseling Center is participating in the 1999 National 
Depression Screening Day, Thursday Oct. 7. Mental health professionals 
will offer the opportunity to learn about the signs and symptoms of 
depression and manic-depression and to participate in a free screening.

"Promoting Civic Engagement: Education, Service and Social Change" 
will be discussed by J. Herman Blake, professor and director 
of African American Studies at Iowa State University, from 4-5:15 p.m. 
Oct. 13 in the Maucker Union Expansion. His talk, sponsored by the 
UNI Leadership Studies Program, is open to all. Reservations requested

channel 15 will be airing the video "Date Rape, Drugs and You",
