Former UNI national champion and current UNI assistant track coach 
Joey Woody won a gold medal at the World Championships in 
Seville, Spain over the weekend. Woody was part of the 4x400 relay 
team that won the gold. Woody also placed 6th in the 400-meter 
hurdles on Friday.

UNI Athletics starts the fall schedule this week. The defending 
conference champion volleyball team opens on the road Sept. 1 
at Utah, while the football team opens at McNeese State in Lake 
Charles, La. You can listen to all UNI football games on Real 
Audio this season through the UNI Athletics website.
