YWCA Week Without Violence Conference

Keynote speaker will be Dr. Gail Dines, anti-pornography activist, lecturer and author. Dr. Dines address is entitled "Sex, Love, and Violence in a Pornographic Culture." Workshop breakout sessions include "Recognizing and Reporting Domestic Violence in Later Life," "No One Listening: Domestic Violence in the Deaf Community," and "Youth Alternatives to Negative Behavior and Violence: An Approach to Gangs, Drugs and the Streets." The target audiences for this conference are social workers, counselors, law enforcement personnel, mental health professionals and educators.
