Thursday, January 28, 2016 - 7:30 pm
Dr. John Len Wiles (School of Music) and Dr. Susan Hill (Philosophy and World Religions) will present a collaborative presentation. All of the major world religions value the pilgrimage or spiritual journey for its transformative effects on individuals and cultures. In June 2015, Wiles led a group of musicians on a pilgrimage following The Wicklow Way in Ireland. Walking for hours every day, rehearsing along the route, and performing at the end of the journey was exhilarating, exhausting, and life-changing. Come experience Vox Peregrini through music, pictures and words, as we explore the multifaceted connections between music and pilgrimage. This event is free and open to the public.
