Strayer-Wood Theatre: "Guernica" Design Presentation

Wednesday, August 31, 2011 - 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm

Strayer-Wood Theatre artistic and production staff will discuss design presentations for the fall production of Guernica by Cody Daigle and directed by Steve Taft. Before 9/11, there was Guernica, a Spanish town home to a tragic historical event that inspired Picasso to create a masterpiece. The play follows Eric, a young aspiring artist, who meets a man claiming to be Pablo Picasso, offering him a seductive opportunity:  create an even grander canvas.  Join Eric, the Man, and his mysterious friends as they explore the creative process and the madness of war while the “Guernica”, on exhibit, comes to life in this passionate, intellectual drama.  This is the Midwest premiere of this award-winning play.
