Second UNI Conference on Sustainability: Environmental Equity and Resilience in the Cedar Valley and Beyond

Join UNI and the community in discussing a sustainable Cedar Valley and a sustainable world as well as the transformation needed to achieve it. Students, community, faculty and staff are invited to attend and contribute to this shared dialogue. The conference will feature nationally renowned livable/walkable communities’ speaker, Robert Ping. He will also conduct a walk-around tour of downtown Waterloo the morning following the conference sessions. Conference tracks will integrate the themes of local environmental equity and resilience around the topical areas of food, natural resources/energy, policy and health. Conference tracks will feature UNI and Cedar Valley experts and projects. The first day of the program will conclude with an overview of campus facilities/projects that model sustainability practices, followed by a social hour.
