Exhibition: "Gather the Folds of This Veil and Scatter Them"

An exhibition by artists John Siblik and Elissa Cox Wenthe, which is exploration of cultural constructs about the human body and the natural landscape. The artists will present a lecture about their collaboration at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, in Kamerick Art Building, room 111. An opening reception will follow.

 A UNI Permanent Art Collection exhibition co-curated by UNI Professor of Art History Dr. Charles M. Adelman and Gallery Director Darrell Taylor. The concept is all themes Roman and Roman themes through time, and it will feature actual Roman artifacts from UNI Museums.

Michael Blackwell will speak on the socialization and institutionalization of hatred in the United States and discuss creative ways individuals and communities can address categorical prejudices and structural apparatuses that perpetuate the varieties of xenophobia and inequities in our nation. Sponsored by the Rod Library as part of the programing related to the Latino Americans grant.
