Spend an evening with illustrator and UNI graduate Gary Kelley and children's author J. Patrick Lewis as they present a gallery talk about their work together. This will be a more intimate opportunity to talk with Gary Kelley and J. Patrick Lewis about their books and view original art from the books. A new piece of art that Gary Kelley has created for the Elementary Literacy Conference will be showcased. Books will be available for purchase and both gentlemen will be available for autographs. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet the author/poet and illustrator together. Refreshments will be provided. This event is free and open to the public.

Tracy Letts’ comic tragedy exposes the emotional destruction that rips through generations if nothing stops its path. One of the most critically acclaimed plays of this century, August earned the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Tony Award for Best Play, and Drama Desk Award for Best New Play. Directed by alumna Angie Toomsen and featuring UNI faculty Richard Glockner and Cynthia Goatley.
