Panther Band Day is ideal for entire marching bands or individual high school band students in grades 9-12. Our goal is to create an outstanding, positive, and friendly musical and social experience for high school band students! We hope you will enjoy the fellowship with other band students throughout the state and the fantastic performance of a massive band, playing to one of the most appreciative audiences in the country! Open to all UNI students, this non-credit six-hour course offers students an opportunity to explore answers to"what do I stand for?","What are my values?" Students will discuss how their priorities influence their financial decisions. Several paid internships will be available for projects after the course.

A campus wide program to create leadership skills in diversity inclusion and community building.
UNI faculty artist Ross Winter will coordinate this day-long event for violinists. Exceptional guest artist Laurie Smukler will appear. Smukler made her debut with the Cleveland Orchestra at the age of fourteen. A graduate of Juilliard, where she studied with Ivan Galamian, she was a founding member of the Mendelssohn String Quartet, and currently serves on the faculty at the Juilliard School. UNI will host the 7th annual Military and Veterans State conference. The goal of this year's conference is to educate campuses and the Iowa community about the military culture and the diversity service members bring to our campuses. This also includes challenges to the transition process and how campuses can best be prepared to help military members succeed. Additionally, we want to bring awareness to military and veteran students of campus and community resources and how to be successful after college.

The UNI School of Music presents its annual Vocal Arts Festival for high school student vocalists preparing for All-State competition and interested in vocal music at UNI. The UNI School of Music will host the first-ever Midwest International Carillon Festival and Composer’s Forum on the UNI campus, October 12 through October 14. Carillonneurs from Denmark, France and the United States have been invited to play concerts and to participate in the conference which will be held on the campus of UNI.
