The Homecoming Hypnotist will have two shows. The first show is at 7 p.m. and is rated PG; the second show will be at 9:30 p.m. and is rated PG 13. Students, alumni, faculty, staff and the community are welcome to either showing. This event is sponsored by the Campus Activities Board (CAB).
The Homecoming Pep Rally will take place following the UNI volleyball game. Finalists will compete for the top prize of the pride cry and the student organization competition. Homecoming Royalty will be crowned and all UNI fans will get pumped up for the Saturday Homecoming football game!
All students are encouraged to play bingo; space is limited so get there early! You must have your student ID with you in order to win a prize.
Watch Homecoming royalty candidates compete for King and Queen. Scores will be based on judging and crowd vote. Winners will be crowned Friday night at the Pep Rally.
Join the Campus Activities Board on Lawther Field for the Homecoming kickoff. Teams will compete for the pride cry finals, royalty candidates will be announced and royalty will be announced as we get ready for a week full of fun events!
Join us at Rialto and Piazza for a special Homecoming Dinner. The menu will feature Panther Hero Sandwiches, Panther Touchdown Nuggets and Panther Scooper Hero Ice Cream.
Daisy is an award-winning journalist and a co-editor of the anthology Colonize This! Young Women of Color on Today's Feminism. She has a recently published memoir of her personal and professional experiences, A Cup of Water Under My Bed. She will be talking about her new book and chronicling being Latina in a predominantly majority work environment. This event is part of the Reaching for Higher Ground series on "Media and Social Media."
Jehane Noujaim, an Egyptian native, is a cinematographer and director, most known for her films, "Control Room", "Startup.com", and "The Square." After showing the movie The Square (running time 108 min.), Noujaim will discuss "The Role of Media & Social Media in Social Movements." The event will conclude with Q&A followed by a reception in the Center for Multicultural Education. Noujaim's visit is part of the Reaching for Higher Ground series.
The UNI Homecoming Committee, with assistance from NISG, RHA and Wellness and Recreation Services, will host a Homecoming Student Tailgate. Mingle with other students and enjoy food and lawn games before the homecoming football game.
