CHAOS Coach & Motivational Speaker: Kelly Boon

The UNI chapter of To Write Love On Her Arms will host CHAOS (Creativity, Humor And Other Stuff) coach and motivational speaker Kelly Boon. Living in a world of uncertainty? If you're stressed or unsure of what steps to take next, consider the power of laughter and creativity. As a CHAOS coach, Boon leads interactive presentations that will help you (and your organization) discover opportunity in a changing world and address your needs through humor and creativity. Family friendly, free and open to the public.

UNI National Wild Turkey Federation Charity Donation Drive

Collecting donations for local charities.  We accept any items delivered to us in the Union on Wednesdays, March 26th, April 2nd, April 9th, and April 16th, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, and also give you an opportunity to get rid of larger items with one of the charities.  We will enter names of all paticipants into a drawing for multiple prizes.  For more details come see us in the Union.  Sponsored by the UNI National Wild Turkey Federation

Poetry Slam and Open Mic Night

Do you enjoy listening to poetry? Are you looking for an opportunity to showcase some of your original work? If you answered yes to either of these questions, come to the CME for an exciting poetry event. The night’s program gives audience members a chance to hear some seasoned poets recite their original poetry, along with the opportunity to participate in an open mic session. Refreshments will be served.

UNI Relay For Life

UNI Colleges Against Cancer holds the Relay For Life of UNI each year. All proceeds raised go directly to the American Cancer Society. There will be lots of fun activities, free food and live bands. Check out our facebook page, UNI Colleges Against Cancer for even more dates of upcoming events.

CME Book Club: The Psychological Health of Women of Color by Lillian Comas-Diaz and Beverly Greene

The Psychological Health of Women of Color by Lillian Comas-Diaz and Beverly Greene is an anthology that focuses on issues of women’s emotional health and wellbeing. Specifically, the book analyzes the life stages of women of color. Book Club sessions are open to the public. If one has not read the book, one is still encouraged to attend and participate in discussion.
