The UNI Student Social Work Association will host a fundraiser at Cold Stone Creamery. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society. Help us fight cancer by enjoying some delicious ice cream or just making a donation. 

Kappa Sigma will host its fourth annual dodgeball tournament fundraising effort to find a cure for diabetes.  All proceeds benefit Juvenille Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Last year Kappa Sigma raised $1,200; the goal this year is $2,000. Come dodge some balls for a good cause!

Campus Activities Board will take three chartered buses to the Mall of America in Minnesota. The cost is $10 for students and $15 for non-students. Sign up begins Feb. 8. Reserve your spot now, as seating is limited.

You may choose to visit the UNI campus on a Saturday morning when you and your family can attend a group presentation and a campus tour. There will be information sessions for both high school and transfer students. This option is intended for students who do not need individual counseling, but instead want an overview of admission requirements, academic majors, costs and campus life. After the presentation you and your family are invited to be our guests for lunch at the Piazza, one of UNI's recently renovated dining centers.

This event is a thank you to the campus for supporting and participating in all of the Black History Month events.

There will be laser tag, adrenaline rush, velcro wall, bungee run, music, and fun!!!

Prof. Marjorie Cohn, author of The United States and Torture: Interrogation, Incarceration, and Abuse (2011) and Rules of Disengagement: The Politics and Honor of Military Dissent (2009), will be speak on the problems of torture and the role it plays in destroying the possibility of world community. Cohn is professor of law at the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego and immediate past president of the National Lawyers Guild. She lectures throughout the world on international human rights and U.S. foreign policy.

UNI Proud will host a discussion of current events that affect the queer and transgender community. Bring news articles or opinions to share with the group.

The University of Northern Iowa Dance Marathon strives to provide hope and comfort for families with children facing life threatening illnesses by raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and hosting events that heighten student and community awareness. UNI Dance Marathon will host their first dance marathon in the Maucker Union on UNI's campus. Come out and help us raise money for the Children's Miracle Network and U of I Children's Hospital. There will be dancing, games and various themed rooms!

Now that you have been admitted, we invite you to campus for a day designed just for you. Whether it is your first time to campus, second or third, UNI Up Close will give you the opportunity to explore majors, services and facilities in an in-depth format.

The Black Student Union will take a group of students to volunteer at the Boys & Girls Club in Waterloo.
