The Progressive Picnic is a collaboration of multiple progressive student groups at UNI featuring free food and live entertainment.
Join the Residence Hall Association (RHA) to bring in a new semester. There will be inflatables, music, games and more. A great way to hang out, have fun and meet more people before class begin.

No dresscode; come as you are, or dress up if you like. Socks or slide-y shoes (tux shoes, slide-y flats) are recommended.
The dance is free and open to anyone; no experience necessary. Come alone or with a partner or friends - the point is to meet other people.

An informal sand volleyball tournament. No experience or team is required; just show up and teams will be created. Great way to meet new people while playing in the sand!! Rain date is Sunday, Aug. 25.
Wellness and Recreation Service's Outdoor Recreation will have canoes, kayaks and paddleboards (including life jackets and paddles) available for students to use on the retention pond. Wear clothing that can get wet and do not bring valuable items on the water crafts (e.g., cell phones, iPods, cameras, jewelry, etc.). Rain date is Sunday, Aug. 25.
Cedar Falls Community Main Street welcomes UNI students to their annual "Panther's on Main" celebration. TC will be on hand to help welcome new students to downtown Cedar Falls...their new home away from home!
Panthers on Main gives students an opportunity to explore Cedar Falls Main Street businesses and participate in a scavenger hunt for opportunities to win prizes/giveaways. Buses will shuttle students for free to and from Main Street continuously departing from 23rd & College Streets and the Wellness & Recreation Center.
