The Invisible War

Following the film there will be a question and answer session. Panelists include the director of the UNI Center for Violence Prevention, an Iowa National Guard Judge Advocate General Officer, a military Victim Advocate and a Black Hawk County prosecutor specializing in sexual assault cases.

CME Lecture: "Law, Rights and Universal Principle"

Ford will offer an analysis of human rights' struggles across the globe, discussing the realities of observing "universal" principles in specific cultures. The presentation is in conjunction with the CME Book Club, which will be discussing Ford's books "Rights Gone Wrong: How Law Corrupts the Struggle for Equality" and "Universal Rights Down to Earth" before the lecture. Ford's presentation is free and open to the public.

Meat Loaf Concert

The concert is part of his Mad Mad World Tour in support of his newly released album, "Hell in a Handbasket." The singer-songwriter is perhaps best known for such tunes as "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" and "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)" that have made Meat Loaf one of the top-selling recording artists of all time. His album, "Bat Out of Hell", has sold more than 43 million copies and his total album sales are in excess of 100 million.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, Sept.15, at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center, McLeod Center, online at www.unitix.uni.edu or by phone 319-273-4849. All seats are reserved and ticket prices start at $44.25.
