ADPi will host an all you can eat spaghetti dinner. Tickets are $5 prior or $7 at the door. Proceeds will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation.
Sigma Phi Epsilon is raising funds for Cedar Valley Friends of the Family. Members of Sigma Phi Epsilon and the UNI student body will perform a talent and members of the community donate to the cause. There will also be a raffle for gift cards.
Sr. Helen Prejean, advocate against the death penalty, will speak about her experiences. The movie "Dead Man Walking," based on her experiences will be shown at 7 p.m., Friday, April 1, at St. Stephen the Witness, and at 3:30 p.m., Monday, April 4, in 115 SRL.
The Film Appreciation Club meeting will watch Paul Thomas Anderson's Academy Award nominated film The Master, starring Joaquin Phoenix.
The Campus Activities Board will host a screening of the movie "My Sister's Keeper." Popcorn and soda will be served.
PRSSA and the ELLC will host a hands-on PR crisis simulation. This Student 2 Student event will provide hands-on experience and demonstrate PR responsibilities. Information about PRSSA will be available, including membership information.
The Student Veterans Association will host several speakers to promote awareness of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Speakers will be David Towle, Counseling Center; Jennifer Shuster, Cedar Rapids Vet Center; and a representative from Retrieving Freedom, an organization that trains service dogs to help people with PTSD.
