Darwin Week is an annual event sponsored by the UNI Freethinkers and Inquirers to promote critical thinking and reason. Faculty speakers will present at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m. Feb. 9 and 11; and at 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. Feb. 10 and 12. Keynote lectures are at 7 p.m. each evening. Topics are: skepticism, science, diversity and religion.
Art for El Salvador will celebrate the arts and raise money for the children of Caserio Mediagua. Activities include a silent auction, art sale, variety show and children's activities. The Brazilian 2wins and Christopher the Conquered will perform during the variety show. The art sale will include pieces that we, as an organization, have been working on the past few months as well as many unique donated pieces. The variety show will feature talent from UNI. Admission is free; all donations go to renovating the K-6 elementary school in Caserio Mediagua.

Campus Activities Board film committee is sponsoring two showings of the movie "Horrible Bosses 2." The showings are at 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.
The Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity will sponsor an American Red Cross blood drive. Sign up tables will be available in Maucker Union on Feb. 12, 18 and 19.
QUASH is the Quest to Unravel Alzheimer's Scavenger Hunt. It's a one part mental and one part physical competition for a great cause. Teams of 2-4 participants will have 1.5 hours to complete a scavenger hunt around the University of Northern Iowa's campus and surrounding areas. All proceed's raised from QUASH benefit the Alzheimer's Associations mission of a world without Alzheimer's Disease through care and support for Alzheimer's patients and there families as well as the research efforts around the United States.
