Tim Wise recently visited UNI where he spoke about the problems associated with systematic racism facing our world today. We often join in discussion about what changes need to occur but rarely plans are put in place to move forward from the discussion. The question always becomes, what can WE do? Join a discussion regarding Tim Wise’s speech, issues that students and staff are facing and the impact we can make at UNI and beyond. The discussion is co-sponsored by the UNI MSW Student Association and Cedar Valley Citizens for Undoing Racism.
The Black in Style Fashion Extravaganze begins with a paparazzi pre-show in the GBPAC lobby featuring photo opportunities, interviews and performances on the red carpet. The fashion show begins at 8 p.m. The show is free for UNI students, faculty and staff; $10.50 for the general public. VIP tickets are $10.50 for students and $20.50 for the public. VIP tickets include preferred seating in the GBPAC, a back stage experience to meet and
greet the designers and host Fonzworth Bentley.
