"The Hunting Ground" is a documentary that exposes the fight for justice against sexual assault on college campuses through the eyes of the victim. The film premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival and since then has been screened on multiple college campuses across the United States. The film sparks discussion around issues of sexual assault and the role of the university in investigating and aiding the victims of rape. The film was subsequently picked up by CNN, who will feature the film in an upcoming special.
The UNI Muslim Students Association will host Sabeel Ahmed, Director of GainPeace.com, on the topic of Islamic shariah law. This event will provide an educated and open discussion in order to gain a better understanding.
Relax before finals with a destress day hosted by Campus Activities Board. There will be massage chairs, foot massages, an oxygen bar, crafts and snacks.
Dancers from UNI and the Midwest will perform various traditional and fusion dances from the Middle East.
An epidemiologist and public health officers will discuss the debate about vaccinations.

We will be volunteering at the Cedar Valley Arboretum this week. There are two sessions for volunteers. Sign up for the time that works best for your schedule! Meet in the CME, and transportation and a snack will be provided. Volunteers will be assisting with various sustainability projects at the Arboretum to improve our planet. Please wear clothing that you won't mind getting dirty. Come volunteer with us!
Service and Leadership Service Projects in the Mauker Union Ballroom
We'll have a room full of service projects. Come as long as you'd like, for 15 minutes or 2 hours! We'll be doing a variety of service projects to help others in need. Some of the projects include:
- Creating literacy kits for children
- Making fleece blankets for local children's hospitals
- Making place mats for the Food Bank
- Creating bird houses for a nursing home
- Putting together an Act of Kindness for our facility & maintenance crews here at UNI
- Decorating picture frames with poems for nursing homes/hospitals

St. Stephen's Adopt A Grandparent gives participants an opportunity to spend time with residents of the Cedar Falls Healthcare Center and provide an uplifting part of the residents' day. Participants can interact with residents by making puzzles, conversing, helping out with daily tasks and more. Transportation is provided; meet at St. Stephen's at 3 p.m. Participants must sign up by midnight Friday, April 10.
